Descriptions:

Yoga - Take part in these all-level Yoga classes to learn poses that can aid you in all areas of your running! In our two different classes, Pre-Race Yoga for Runners, and Post-Race Yoga for Runners, you will be learning poses that complement a training program and help build flexibility and strength in an everyday runner! In Pre-Race Yoga for Runners, learn how to warm up during the morning prior to the race, activating key muscles and awakening your entire body, or come to Post-Race Yoga to help you in your post-race recovery, focusing on easing soreness in key muscles, reducing pain & inflammation, and gradually increasing flexibility and energy in the hours and days after your race.

Meditation for Runners - Learn to harness the power of meditation to settle your mind, become more mindful while running, and enhance overall running performance. Explore what meditation is, what its benefits for runners are, and how to do it in simple, easy to learn steps.

Ask Jeff with Jeff Galloway - In this discussion with Jeff Galloway, all of your running questions can be answered! When asked what he wants people to get out of this session, Jeff has said, "I want to help each person enjoy every mile of every run."

Runner Pints and Pours - Join us as we have representatives from FitVine Wines and Playalinda Brewing Company as they discuss the finer points of designing adult beverages for an active lifestyle. As an added treat, The Ganachery will be speaking and providing their chocolate for tasting! Tasting included 21+, must have a valid form of identification.

Animation Academy - Discover how Disney characters are brought to life during a hands-on presentation with a Disney artist at Animation Academy. Even learn how to draw the characters yourself and take home your art!

Foam Rolling and Stretching Presented by AdventHealth - Get your blood flowing and loosen your muscles alongside a AdventHealth physical therapist with an introduction to foam rolling and some stretching tips and tricks. *Note: Foam Rollers will be available for use.

Junior Activity Zone – Bring the kids and enjoy activities that will keep them engaged and having fun! Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Card Creation Station Supporting the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals – Come by the Interactive Zone and create a special card that will help brighten the day of a child at a Children’s Miracle Network Hospital.

During the Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend Health and Fitness Expo, you’ll find the Disney Environmentality team by the Sharing Tree, where you can share why you care about nature and the planet. We encourage you to come by and share a favorite memory that inspires YOU to care for nature and our planet. You can write a story or draw a picture, just be creative! This is a great activity stop for your kids – but we want to hear from our Guests of all ages!

Here’s a few more things you can do while you’re visiting our resort:

Grabbing a Starbucks in one of our parks? You can recycle your cup and lid when you're done enjoying your beverage!
Staying in a Disney resort? You can help conserve water by reusing your towel. Just hang it up when you're done!
Plan on doing some shopping? Consider using a reusable bag or combining all of your purchases into one of our 100% recycled content bags. By choosing a reusable bag, you are helping Disney with its commitment to reduce single-use plastics.
Not interested in keeping your park map? You can recycle that too! Drop it in a recycle bin on the way out.
Staying in a Disney resort? Take a Disney bus to one of the parks. Not only is carpooling good for the environment, but our buses run on a renewable diesel made from used cooking oil and non-consumable food waste. A win-win for the planet!

Did you know? Disney is constantly looking for new ways to strengthen our commitment to environmental stewardship. For the 2018-19 runDisney race season, we are introducing a new banana peel collection recycling program with signage and labels presented by Chiquita®.

At the end of your race, you’ll notice banana peel recycling containers and signage throughout the finish line, reunion and Race Retreat areas. The collected banana peels will be sent to Harvest Power, an on-site facility that converts non-consumable food scraps into renewable energy. This is a new and exciting opportunity for Walt Disney World Guests to participate in our food scraps collection program, and you can learn more about Harvest Power here.
